Catch an excerpt of my current work-in-progress at Salt Lake City Library's 12 Minutes Max. The work will be shown alongside the works of other local artists from various artistic mediums. 12MM runs just one hour long and is free to the public.

About the work:
Later this year I will present an evening-length thesis concert at the University of Utah, where I am currently heading into my final year of the 3-year MFA program in Modern Dance. As I approach this new work I am occupied by questions of control (or a persistent lack of it), impermanence and mortality, and am curious about what it means to be an artist and to make art in relationship to these most dependable qualities of life.

For 12 Minutes Max, Natalie Border and E'lise Jumes will perform an excerpt (in-progress) from this larger work. Within the duet, the dancers circle and tumble (symbolically and literally) around a desire for tenderness, stability, and knowledge. It is yet to be known if they will get there. They are truly sensational performers—I hope you will join us!
